The views from the cottage were absolutely mind-blowing! Situated on a hill with panoramic views of the town and the Tors, it was the perfect peaceful country location. The owner, Ruth, was super welcoming and provided us with an extensive range of information about the area, including great places to eat. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, from cooking oil to tea and coffee. The cottage itself was spacious and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a second bathroom which was a real bonus. The property was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities we could possibly need, including a washing machine. The location was perfect, with beautiful rural surroundings and walking trails nearby, yet still within walking distance of Okehampton. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Loved pretending to be Bear Grylls hiking and cycling through the beautiful surroundings. Had a blast grilling in the garden while feeling like a master chef.
I just adore sharing bathrooms with my entire entourage, especially when we're all in a rush to take a shower. So convenient!

I stayed at this lovely cottage with my bridal party the night before my wedding, and then with my husband on our wedding night. Despite a hiccup with the hot water, Ruth, the owner, quickly resolved the issue with a friendly manner. The cottage's hillside location offered stunning views of the town and Tors, without any noise disturbance. The wealth of information provided, including books, leaflets, and maps, made exploring the area a breeze. The well-stocked kitchen, with everything from cooking oil to tea and coffee, was a delightful surprise. The comfortable beds and the convenience of a second bathroom were also highlights.

The value for the money at Meadow Sweet Cottage was exceptional, with a clean and comfortable room that had everything we needed. The location was perfect, offering a stunning view and easy access to Okehampton and nearby Bude. The staff, especially Ruth, were wonderful and made us feel welcome with their helpfulness and extensive knowledge about Devon.
Breakfast delights could have been better with a more varied selection.

The bathroom in Meadow Sweet Cottage was a real gem! It had a nice shower that was perfect to wash away the day's adventures. As a backpacker, I really appreciated having a clean and functional bathroom to refresh myself before heading out.
Personally, I found the bathroom in Meadow Sweet Cottage a bit small, but hey, everyone has different preferences, right?

Set in a peaceful rural location, surrounded by beautiful woods and walking trails. We loved being able to explore the stunning countryside right on our doorstep. the views from the cottage were breathtaking, especially when enjoying our morning coffee. the comfortable beds ensured a great night's sleep after long days of adventure.
While the cottage had everything we needed, the water pressure could drop if multiple people were using it. Although this didn't pose a major problem, it just required a bit more care.
